Happy Labor Day!

The different faces of Labor Day according to the Agricultural, Industrial and Computer Revolutions, although slightly different have one thing in common—a cause for celebration! Agricultural Revolution started in the Neolithic period when people gradually went from mainly hunting to domesticating animals and plants for food which was also the beginning of civilization. It was only natural for the farmers in those days to rest and celebrate after the last harvest in September. Industrial Revolution perhaps was the most difficult time for labors because laws had to be established to make Labor Day a federal holiday on the first Monday in September and it became very political before this day was declared a federal holiday. Computer Revolution, a contemporary period; it is law and people gets to benefit from observing this day as a day of rest and celebration because of natural and political occurrences. Enjoy!
